Recently, Southeast Asian multi-national blockchain and digital asset associations, including Indonesia Asosiasi blockchain, Singapore blockchain Association (BAS), Philippines distributed ledger Technology Association (dltap), Malaysia's Labuan international business and financial center, and Thailand's digital asset operation trade association, have launched, It announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Australian blockchain association to form the first ASEAN blockchain Alliance (ABC), so as to promote cross-border cooperation in the field of emerging blockchains.
According to bas, the alliance will focus on sharing practical experience in blockchain technology and exchanging views on issues such as rulemaking. Justo Ortiz, chairman of dltap, said that all parties can exchange experience and learn from each other through the MOU, especially in regard to the use of blockchain as a governance tool to eliminate non value-added costs related to transaction trust. The Philippines said it looks forward to cooperation between the two sides and will provide support for the development of the industry.
