China Southern Airlines recently held a route promotion event in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, and announced that it would open a direct flight from Beijing to Dhaka from July 15. Yao Wen, Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh, said in his speech at the event that the opening of direct flights between the capitals of China and Bangladesh will further improve the interconnected aviation network between China and Bangladesh, and provide greater convenience for promoting personnel exchanges and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries and promoting cooperation in various fields between the two countries.
It is hoped that more Chinese and Bangladeshi people will travel and look for business opportunities in both directions, and more Chinese companies will invest and start businesses in Bangladesh. Farooq Khan, Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism of Bangladesh, said that in recent years, the cultural exchanges between Bangladesh and China have continued to deepen, and the enthusiasm of Bangladeshi people to travel, study abroad and do business in China has continued to rise. The opening of the Dhaka-Beijing direct flight will further promote economic, trade, tourism and other exchanges between the two countries.

According to reports, China Southern Airlines' Beijing-Dhaka direct flight route plans to operate two round-trip flights per week, with flights scheduled on Mondays and Saturdays.
