Air China launches direct flights from Beijing to Dhaka

On the evening of the 10th local time, as a passenger plane took off from Beijing, the capital of China, landed at the international airport in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, and passed through the "water gate" specially prepared for it at the airport, the Beijing-Dhaka air route operated by Air China officially started. At the opening ceremony, Farooq Khan, Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism of Bangladesh, said that the opening of direct flights from Dhaka to Beijing proved the friendship, cooperation and increasing connectivity between Bangladesh and China, and would help the tourism industry and other trade exchanges between the two countries. 

Liu Yuyin, Charge d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh, said that cultural exchanges are an important foundation for China and Bangladesh to enhance understanding and deepen cooperation, and also bring more development opportunities to each other. He also encouraged more Chinese and Bangladeshi people to travel and do business, and continuously consolidate the foundation of friendship between the two countries. An Ming, general manager of Air China's Dhaka business department, said that the opening of Air China's Beijing-Dhaka route has built a more convenient air bridge for China and Bangladesh, provided more convenience for passengers to travel, promoted economic exchanges and cultural exchanges between the two countries, and helped the two countries to cooperate in a wider range of fields.It is understood that this route uses Boeing 737 aircraft, which will be operated on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, with a total journey time of about 5 hours.
