Xinhua Silk Road, Lima, November 7 (Reporter Wu Hao, Hao Yunfu) The "Through Wind and Rain, Building a Community of Shared Future for China and Latin America" seminar co-organized by the American Communication Center of China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration (Beijing Weekly) and China Yangtze Power Co., Ltd. was held in Lima, the capital of Peru on the 5th, aiming to deepen friendly exchanges between all walks of life in China and Latin America, enhance mutual understanding, promote people-to-people exchanges, and unite the hearts and minds of people to promote the construction of a community of shared future for China and Latin America.

On the same day, nearly 150 people from all walks of life and youth representatives from the two countries, including government, enterprises, academia, media, think tanks, etc., attended the event. Gao Anming, editor-in-chief of China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration, said in his speech that the concept of building a community of shared future for China and Latin America has been deeply rooted in the hearts of the Chinese and Latin American people, and the new era of China-Latin America relations with equality, mutual benefit, innovation, openness and benefit to the people has continuously achieved fruitful results in friendly cooperation in various fields. China-Latin America economic and trade cooperation has continued to deepen, and the practice of building a community of shared future for China and Latin America has achieved fruitful results; the hearts of the Chinese and Latin American people are more connected and friendly, laying a solid foundation for the long-term friendly development of China-Latin America relations.

Gustavo Cordero Jon Tai, a member of the Peruvian Congress and chairman of the Peru-China Friendship Group, said that the social equity and justice promoted by China in the process of poverty alleviation are in line with the values of Latin America and the Caribbean, and are one of the important foundations for deepening and developing bilateral relations, diplomatic relations and many other aspects.

Qu Weihua, vice president of China Yangtze Power International (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd., said that the strengthening of cooperation between Chinese and Peruvian enterprises in power equipment and technology will not only improve the stability and efficiency of Peru's power system, but also inject new vitality into the development of Peru's power industry. China-Peru green energy development cooperation has also set an important example for the global realization of green development.

The seminar played a Spanish short video "Knowing each other without distance, we are still neighbors", released the Spanish version of "China Today" magazine "China and Latin America: The Embrace of Two Worlds" theme special issue, and the documentary "What is the Sail - Protecting the Blue Planet·Enterprises in Action (Latin America)".

The seminar also held the "China-Peru Youth Cultural Exchange Forum". Huang Jiqing, Vice President of the Association of Chinese Enterprises in Peru and Chairman of the Infrastructure Branch, and General Manager of China Communications Construction (Peru) Co., Ltd., and Sun Yan, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at Ricardo Palma University in Peru, and other guests shared their understanding of jointly building a community with a shared future between China and Latin America from the perspectives of economy, science and technology, people's livelihood, and culture, and discussed the role that young people should play in deepening exchanges and cooperation between China and Peru in various fields.
