Israel-China Business Forum, organized by the CCPIT and FICC (Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce), was held in Tel Aviv on the morning of June 2. The CCPIT chairman Jiang Zengwei, FICC president Uriel Lynn and Chinese ambassador to Israel Zhan Yongxin attended the forum and delivered keynote speeches.

Jiang said that China and Israel have respective advantages in industry, technology, market and capital. Both countries are highly compatible in the concept of innovation-driven development. China is undergoing an economic transformation from factor-driven model to innovation-driven model and a new round of opening-up with higher level. This will create more mutually-beneficial opportunities for both China and Israel. The CCPIT is willing to work with FICC to create trade and economic communication platform, enhance commercial legal services, promote policy coordination, carry forward the cooperation between enterprises of both sides and make more contributions to the bilateral economic and trade relationship.

President Lynn said that both China and Israel are encouraging innovation. Israel has a number of scientific research institutions and innovation-driven enterprises and he hopes that enterprises of both countries shall strengthen cooperation in technological research. FICC is willing to work closely with the CCPIT to promote free trade negotiations between China and Israel, avoid double tariff imposition and integrate accreditation standards, to create sound environment for enterprises of both countries.
