The CCPIT chairman Jiang Zengwei met with Amit Lang, director-general of the Ministry of Economy of Israel at Jerusalem on the afternoon of June 1. Both sides exchanged opinions on the China-Israel trade and economic cooperation.
Jiang said that China-Israel trade and economic cooperation has been undergoing rapid development with remarkable achievements. China has a broad market and abundant capital, while Israel has unique advantages in technological innovation. The bilateral cooperation has huge potential. The negotiation of the establishment of China-Israel free trade zone, which has achieved substantial progress, will add fresh momentum to the regional trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. The CCPIT will work closely with Israel business and trade associations, to establish platform, provide trade and economic information and offer business training and commercial legal services. The aim is to promote bilateral business cooperation, especially at the level of small and medium-sized enterprises, and encourage Israeli enterprises with technological advantages to explore the Chinese market.
Amit Lang agreed with Jiang’s opinions. He commented that Israel attaches great importance to its economic and trade relations with China. The Israel-China free trade agreement will further increase the bilateral trade and investment cooperation. Israel's Ministry of Economy and its offices in China will work closely with Chinese government and institutions to promote technology and innovation communications between enterprises of both countries through the means of reciprocal business visits and trade and economic communication activities. He hopes these measures will achieve great accomplishments for both countries.
Wu Bin, business counselor of China’s Embassy to Israel, Feng Yaoxiang, director general of Department of Development Research of the CCPIT, and Li Qingshuang, deputy director general of Department of International Relations of the CCPIT attended the meeting.
