Date:2018-11-26  Hits:21

The First Global Import Leadership Summit on the sidelines of the first China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held in Shanghai on November 6, 2018. Chairperson of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Gao Yan and Deputy Minister of Commerce of China Wang Bingnan attended and addressed the summit.

Gao Yan said, China has gradually contributed to promoting economic globalization compared to its earlier role as a mere participant since the country began to reform and open up four decades ago. China has voluntarily mingled into the global value chain and begun to encourage both imports and exports rather than only focusing on export. China has been continuously gearing towards an open, tolerant, beneficial, balanced and win-win development in the economic globalization process.

“The business community is a new force for global economic growth. Currently, a new round of technical revolution and industrial reform is at its height. The digital economy is emerging. We shall seize the opportunity to boost digital economy by favor of the economic globalization,” added Gao.

Themed at “Great Import, New Ecosystem”, the First Global Import Leadership Summit was co-hosted by CCPIT and Alibaba Group. More than 1,000 guests from the business community, chambers of commerce and industry, professionals from over 20 countries, regions and international organizations attended the summit.
