Chairperson of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Gao Yan called for more trade and financial services for the business community at home and abroad.
Gao made the pledge at a forum on the Belt and Road trade and financial cooperation and innovation in Shanghai on November 6. The forum is a sideline business event of the first China International Import Expo (CIIE) scheduled from November 5 to 10.
Gao said, the trade and financial service plays an essential role in the Belt and Road construction. The business community has a rapid growth of the demand for financial services so as to effectively evade business risks, deepen economic and trade cooperation and further the Belt and Road construction. CCPIT is willing to strengthen cooperation with financial institutions of all countries to expand diversified communication channels, build up more effective service platform to bridge cooperation projects for the Belt and Road countries, contributing to the prosperity of these countries.
The forum, hosted by the People’s Bank of China and organized by the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, attracted nearly 50 international and regional banking and financial organizations, delegates from 45 Chinese and foreign enterprises as well as trade and financial experts. More than 200 participants were in attendance.
