Vice Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Chen Zhou met with Chris Kiptoo, Principal Secretary in the State Department of Trade of Kenya in Beijing on November 12.
Chen Zhou said, Kenya is a large economy in east Africa, boasting well-developed economy, an open market and huge development potentials. CCPIT is willing to foster exchanges and cooperation with relevant agencies of Kenya to assist both Chinese and Kenyan enterprises to seek cooperation partners and investment opportunities through exchanges of business delegations, conventions, exhibitions and B2B match-making meetings.
Kiptoo noted, Kenya recently proposed four development goals, which include the development of manufacturing, health care for all Kenyans, affordable housing and food security. Thanks to these goals, Chinese enterprises will acquire more investment opportunities. Kiptoo said Kenya expected more Chinese companies to conduct businesses in Kenya.
