The 2018 El Salvador-People’s Republic of China Trade Exposition kicked off in San Salvador on November 23. Vice Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Zhang Shenfeng, Chinese ambassador to El Salvador Ou Jianhong, and El Salvador's Economy Minister Luz Estrella Rodriguez attended and addressed the opening ceremony.
More than 300 representatives from Chinese and El Salvador business communities, Chinese community delegates, etc. participated in the opening ceremony of the exposition.
This is the fifth trade exposition of such kind held in El Salvador and also the first of its kind since the two countries established diplomatic relations.
Meanwhile, a trade and investment forum between China and El Salvador was held. Both sides had further discussions about how to enhance economic and trade cooperation, improve business environment and promote key industries. A B2B match-making meeting between enterprises of both sides was also held.
