Chairperson of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Gao Yan met with Ecuador’s Deputy Minister of Production, Foreign Trade, Investment and Fishery Guillermo Moran in Guayaquil on November 30.
Gao Yan said, Ecuador is China’s comprehensive strategic partner and important cooperation partner in Latin America. In recent years, the China-Ecuador bilateral economic and trade cooperation has seen further development. The range of cooperation has broadened with more diversified cooperation patterns. China is willing to cooperate with Ecuador to jointly combat unilateralism and trade protectionism to promote the economic globalization towards openness, inclusiveness, all-benefits, balance and win-win development. CCPIT and Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investment and Fishery of Ecuador have maintained friendly cooperation relations. Both sides are dedicated to working together to assist enterprises to conduct business by favor of the Belt and Road Initiative, boosting bilateral economic and trade ties. Gao Yan welcomed Ecuador’s business community to participate in the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation and the 13th China-LAC Business Summit.
Guillermo said, China is currently the second largest trade partner of Ecuador. Ecuador is willing to cooperate with China to match the development strategies and participate in the Belt and Road international cooperation. Ecuador thanked CCPIT for its contribution to boosting Sino-Ecuador economic and trade ties and is willing to cooperate with CCPIT in favoring Chinese companies to invest in Ecuador to achieve mutual benefits.
