Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Achievement Exhibition held in Cambodia

An exhibition displaying the cooperation achievements of countries along Mekong-Lancang River was held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on January 10. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang toured the exhibition, along with Prime Minister of Cambodia Hun Sen, Lao Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith, Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Myanmar Vice President U Myint Swe, who are the leaders from five countries along the Mekong-Lancang River. Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Jiang Zengwei led the leaders to tour the show.

The Cooperation Achievement Exhibition is a prelude event for the Second Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (LMC) Leaders' Meeting. Hosted by China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and undertaken by CCPIT, the exhibition showcased the achievements made from the Mekong-Lancang cooperation mechanism since its establishment two years ago, with regard to some key sectors such as infrastructure construction, energy, logistics and internet.

Ten Chinese enterprises, including China Railway, China Southern Power Grid, Mobike and Huawei were on display at the exhibition. Meanwhile, the exhibition demonstrated the achievements in water resources, trade and investment, people-to-people exchanges, political security, etc. since the establishment of the Mekong-Lancang cooperation mechanism in the forms of diagrams, pictures, video and manuscript, showing broad prospects for the Mekong-Lancang cooperation in the future.
