The two sides made the agreement as CCPIT Chairman Jiang Zengwei and his UACCIAP counterpart Ahmed El Wakil met each other in Beijing on September 4, on occasion of the High-level Dialogue between Chinese and African Leaders and Business Representatives and the Sixth Conference of Chinese and African Entrepreneurs.

Jiang Zengwei noted, Africa, with broad market outlook, is an important economic and trade partner of China. CCPIT and UACCIAP have maintained a long-term and close cooperation. CCPIT is willing to work with UACCIAP to expand cooperation and promote the overall development of bilateral economic and trade ties by favor of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Wakil echoed Jiang’s remarks saying that African countries are dedicated to improving business environment. Africa is expecting more investment from China. Africa will be actively participating in the Belt and Road construction, and closely cooperating with CCPIT to set up platforms for the business communities of both sides.
