A symposium on China-ASEAN Commercial Legal Cooperation, a sideline event of the 15th China-ASEAN Business & Investment Summit, was held in Nanning on September 13.
The symposium, co-hosted by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and chambers of commerce and industry of 10 ASEAN countries, mainly focused on China-ASEAN cooperation in taxation.
CCPIT Vice Chairman Chen Zhou said, CCPIT will tap the advantages of trade promotion system to speed up the construction of a comprehensive information service platform for the ASEAN countries, conduct researches on and provide services for China-ASEAN bilateral and multilateral taxation issue, and assist the enterprises of both sides to tackle the problems relevant to international taxation.
Fang Lingmin, a senior official from the Government of Guangxi said, the symposium mainly discussed about the changes, tendency and characteristics of taxation laws in China and ASEAN countries, the difficulties in the application of taxation in the international trade, as well as taxation risk prevention and control so as to help enterprises of both sides strengthen taxation legal cooperation and settle disputes.
More than 200 delegates from Guangxi trade promotion agencies, taxation agencies, regional courts and prosecutors, enterprises, legal service institutions as well as chambers of commerce of ASEAN countries attended the symposium.
