A cooperation agreement was signed between China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and International Trade Centre (ITC) in Paris on October 25.
The signing of the agreement was witnessed by Arancha Gonzalez, Executive Director of the ITC and CCPIT Chairperson Gao Yan prior to her participation in the 12th World Conference of Trade Promotion Organizations.
Gao Yan expressed her gratitude to Gonzalez for her invitation and thoughtful arrangements for the Chinese participants of the conference. She spoke highly of the contribution made by ITC, especially Gonzalez as ITC Executive Director to promoting trade. She also added that against the complicated international situation and profound changes in the world order, CCPIT is willing to work with ITC in further deepening cooperation in all fields and start a new journey of cooperation in the new era.
Gonzalez offered her thanks to Gao Yan for attending the conference and speaking on behalf of Chinese trade promotion organizations. She stressed that the cooperation between ITC and CCPIT dates back more than four decades as both sides work to bring more businesses from the developing world to the Chinese market. She suggested the two sides should join hands and forge ahead to minimize the negative impact of unilateralism and trade protectionism.
In the wake of the meeting, Gao Yan and Gonzalez signed the “Licensing Agreement between CCPIT and ITC on National Center for Business International Operation and Management” and launched the China Center for Business International Operation and Management.
Also present at the meeting are heads of CCPIT Department of Development Research, Department of International Relations, Department of Trade and Investment Promotion, training center and representative office in France.
